M. Christine Lawson has a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Master of Divinity, and is Board Certified as a Crisis Helpline Specialist by the International Council of Helplines. As well, Christine is a missionary educator and counselor in Senegal, Africa. She counsels missionaries and missionary kids in West, East, and South Africa as well as in the United States. Christine has co-facilitated crisis training for workers in the Middle East that have experienced a great amount of trauma and war.
Christine has a wide range of experience working in both the States as an addictions counselor and overseas with anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, suicide prevention, autism, ADHD, and other learning disorders. As a Georgia certified special education teacher and behavioral consultant, Christine brings a unique perspective that has been helpful in identifying and treating school age children and adults on the mission field.
Christine is married with two sons, Sam (11) and Paul (8). She met her husband, Todd, while in seminary as they pursued their masters of divinity together. Soon after graduation, Todd &
Christine married, had two wonderful sons, and returned to the mission field as a family.
